Earn high school community service hours – Join CYC for pollinator garden stewardship, species monitoring, and more!

Join the Conservation Youth Corps (CYC) and spend rewarding time stewarding crucial pollinator gardens in Pickering, ensuring they thrive for local bees, butterflies, and other essential wildlife. Additionally, help monitor and protect these native species!

This is a great opportunity to earn high school community service hours while making a lasting environmental impact in your neighborhood! All tools and training are provided. No experience necessary—just dress for the weather and be ready to dig in!

Register for any of the following event days:

May 20 | Amberlea Park | 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
May 26 | Valley Plentiful Community Garden | 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
July 8 | Amberlea Park | 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
July 12 | Valley Plentiful Community Garden | 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

*Additional meeting location/address details will be provided in a reminder email leading up to the event.

Who Can Apply
To participate in the program, you must:

Be at least 14 years of age
Be currently enrolled in High School
Have an interest in the outdoors and environmental conservation
Be comfortable working in a team
Be punctual and reliable

RESERVE YOUR SPOT

The events will run rain or shine but will be cancelled if there is extreme weather. Registrants will be emailed two hours prior to the event if there is a cancellation.
