Bats are fascinating creatures that are important in our communities. And guess what? They live in our community!

Join us to learn about the bat species found in the Greater Toronto Area and how to identify them! We will start with an indoor presentation then we’ll walk around Loafer’s Lake as community scientists to listen for bats using a special bat detector.

Family Nature Program (Ages 6+)
– Beginner level information
– Activities and concepts that are family friendly
– Intended audience includes children, youth and adults
– Children must be accompanied by adults
– Part of the program is outdoors, please wear comfortable shoes
– If there is inclement weather, registered participants will be emailed of any changes to the program
– No pets allowed

Meeting location: the program will be held in room 4 inside the Park Palleschi Recreational Centre.
