Begin the evening around the campfire, where we’ll roast apples and marshmallows and enjoy delicious s’mores and hot chocolate. Then, discover the fascinating bats of the Greater Toronto Area and learn about their important role in our ecosystems.

As the sun sets, we’ll explore Claireville’s trails as community scientists, using special bat detectors to listen for bats and learn how to identify them.

Event Details

Location: Claireville Outdoor Education Centre (8180 Hwy 50, Brampton, ON L6T 0A7)

Ticket Price: Tickets include apples, s’mores and hot chocolate!
$5.00 + HST + Eventbrite fees for children under the age of 12 years old.
$10.00 + HST + Eventbrite fees for youth (age of 13-17 years old) and adults (age 18+).

Parking: When you arrive at Claireville Conservation Area off Hwy 50 (Between Gore Road and Steeles Avenue) please drive into the Conservation Area and follow the white daisies flower signs to the Outdoor Education Centre parking lot.

Meeting location: The path way from the parking will have a “Nature Program” sign directing participants to the campfire area behind the Outdoor Education Centre.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests received by TRCA more than 14 days before the start of the program will receive a 75% refund of the relevant program fees paid. Cancellation requests received by TRCA less than 14 days before the start of the program do not qualify for a refund. Minimum registration numbers required for program to operate. In the event TRCA must cancel the program due to low registration or weather or government order, a full refund will be issued (minus the eventbrite fees).
