Celebrate Ajax by planting native trees with the community for this Ajax Green Living Day event!
To celebrate Green Living Days the Town of Ajax is partnering with Toronto and Region Conservation Authority for a Community Tree Planting Event at Greenwood Conversation Area (North Flats). Join us and help enhance the canopy cover by planting 1,300 native trees and shrubs!
Event hours will count towards high school volunteer hours.
What to wear: Long pants, closed-toed shoes, tall socks, hat, and sunscreen.
What to bring: Rain protection, bug spray, reusable water bottle and snacks. Bring your shovel and gloves. A limited supply of equipment will be provided.
The event will run rain or shine but will be cancelled if there is extreme weather. Registrants will be emailed two hours prior to the event if there is a cancellation.
