Join us to learn about the bat species found in the Greater Toronto Area and how to identify them! We will start with an indoor presentation then we’ll walk around the conservation area as community scientists to listen for bats using a special bat detector.

This program is FREE and generously supported by City of Pickering!

Family Nature Program (Ages 6+)
– Beginner level information
– Activities and concepts that are family friendly
– Intended audience includes children, youth and adults
– Children must be accompanied by adults
– Part of the program is outdoors, please wear comfortable shoes
– If there is inclement weather, registered participants will be emailed of any changes to the program
– No pets allowed

The guided nighttime walk will be roughly 2 km (with lots of stops) on mostly wide open trails, paths and access roads.

The event will run rain or shine but will be cancelled in the case of extreme weather. Registrants will be emailed at least two hours prior to the event if there is a cancellation.
