First Saturdays: Indigenous Medicines and Plant Learning by Tanya Glukokov

Included with general admission

Join us on Saturday, November 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as we explore Indigenous medicines and learn about the plants that sustain us through the winter months during First Saturdays – free with general Village admission.

Join artist Tanya Glukokov (Roots and Raven), a mixed Mohawk herbalist and educator with roots in Six Nations of the Grand River, for a cozy, hands-on experience grounded in seasonal knowledge and care.

Through storytelling and guided making, learn about traditional plant uses, winter wellness, and connection to the land. Create a small take-home piece in a warm, welcoming space that honours Indigenous knowledge and community.

See The Past Through Their Eyes
Join us at The Village on the first Saturday of each month to connect with equity-deserving artists who invite us to see history from their perspective. Through their art, they challenge us to consider the past in new ways, offering creative and meaningful interpretations of our shared heritage.
