Join us as we explore the Etobicoke Creek Watershed to discover the adventures of salmon and their incredible journey at this fun, family-friendly nature walk!

Learn all about the salmon life cycle, migration, and ongoing restoration efforts on this guided nature walk as we search for salmon swimming upstream during the fall salmon run!

Although salmon sightings are possible, they are not guaranteed, as migration depends on natural conditions.

This program is FREE and generously supported by Peel Region!

Event Details

• Date and Time: Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• Location: Marie Curtis Park (2 Forty Second St, Etobicoke)
• Parking: Free parking will be available HERE.
• Meeting location: We will meet at the trail entrance HERE.

During the program, we will walk along the Etobicoke Creek Trail to visit the best stream observation spots. Please see the map for the parking location and observation stops along the route.

Be Prepared

• Please dress appropriately for the weather. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen!
• Comfortable, close-toed shoes for the short walk are highly recommended. We will be walking 2 km in total.
• On-site seasonal public bathrooms will be closed. Please come prepared.
• Bring a personal water bottle and snacks, if needed.

Cancellation Policy: The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled due to low registration (fewer than 6 participants) or extreme weather; registrants will be contacted by email and phone at least 2 hours prior.
