The mission of Time Detectives is to encourage a passion for the past in young students in grades 7-9 through experiential education programming in anthropology, archaeology, forensics and museum studies.

Are you ready to develop your inner detective using your interests in history, the ancient world and museums?

This four session series of workshops is delivered by experts in their respective field and runs as follows:

Session One (September 12, 2026 | 9AM-12PM)
Anthropology: Explore past cultures through decoding ancient languages and other clues.

Session Two (November 21st, 2026 | 9AM-12PM)
Archaeology: Discover how artifacts unravel the mysteries of the past.

Session Three (January 9th, 2027 | 9AM-12PM)
Forensics: Uncover the stories that bones can tell us as a crime scene investigator.

Session Four (April 3rd, 2027 | 9AM-12PM)
Museums: Find out the hidden secrets of the past contained in museum collections.

The price is $200 (No HST) for all 4 sessions.

Cancellation requests received by TRCA more than 30 days before the start of the camp program will receive a 75% refund of the relevant program fees paid. Cancellation requests received by TRCA less than 30 days before the start of the program do not qualify for a refund. Rescheduling is subject to availability. There is no refund for days missed or children opting not to participate in activities. Cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to vservices@trca.ca. Minimum registration numbers required for the workshop series to operate. In the event TRCA must cancel the workshop series due to low registration or government order, a full refund will be issued.
