We’re Looking for Your Input on the New Rouge River Watershed Plan (RRWP)
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) in collaboration with participating First Nations, our municipal partners, and key stakeholders are embarking on the development of a new watershed plan for the Rouge River watershed. Your input will help shape a vision that reflects the values, priorities, and lived experiences of the community.
What Is the RRWP?
The Rouge River Watershed Plan will provide comprehensive, science-based information on the current and potential future state of our natural systems, and this information will be used to inform various management initiatives that ensure healthy and resilient watersheds over the long term such as:
- Land use and infrastructure planning
- Climate adaptation
- Ecosystem restoration and management
- Implementation of rural best management practices, green infrastructure/low-impact development
How Can You Help?
We’re seeking your insights on:
- The important watershed themes and words that will help guide the development of the vision statement for the watershed
- Pressing issues currently facing the watershed
- Climate- or weather-related changes or impacts you’ve personally experienced or observed in the area
