
Guided Nature Walk and Garden Stewardship
Join the Rexdale SNAP team for a guided nature walk through Rowntree Mills Park! This is a wonderful opportunity to join the Rexdale SNAP team for a guided nature walk and garden stewardship event. Learn about local wildlife and explore the green space in your community!
After the walk, take part in hands-on stewardship activities at the COVID Memorial Garden. Help prepare the garden beds for the season and plant native, pollinator-friendly species that support bees, butterflies, and other wildlife.
This is a great opportunity to learn, connect, and get involved in your community.

Time: 10:00AM – 12:00PM
Location: Rowntree Mills Park, 155 Rowntree Mill Rd, North York ON M9L. Meet in front of the Covid Memorial Garden.
Please dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes. Gloves and shovels will be provided. All ages are welcome!
The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled if there is a significant chance of thunderstorms or other hazardous weather. Registrants will be emailed by 8:00 AM on the day of the event if there is a cancellation.
We will meet in front of the Covid Memorial Garden which can be accessed from the park entrance off of Rowntree Mill Road (pictured in image below).
