Come explore the unique winter landscape of Tommy Thompson Park on a guided hike with an experienced TRCA biologist. From wintering chickadees to weird winter ducks, join us to learn about the wildlife calling the Toronto waterfront home, and gain a new appreciation for the coldest and most beautiful of seasons.
The Winter Birding Series is hosted by TRCA’s Bander-in-Charge and ornithologist, Shane Abernethy. Shane has eight years of ornithological experience and four years of banding at the Tommy Thompson Park Bird Research Station. He also produces the popular Feathered Friday series via TRCA Instagram.
This is a guided walk outside in nature. Please come prepared with warm clothing, comfortable walking shoes and a raincoat.
Don’t forget to bring your travel mugs for complimentary coffee or hot chocolate!
